LPN 121 - Medical-Surgical Nursing I 7 Credit(s) This course focuses on the care of adults experiencing common and predictable health problems. Learners are challenged to use critical thinking skills guided by established professional standards, guidelines, competencies, and best practices. Health problems are examined with regard for pathophysiology, nutrition, pharmacology, legal, and ethical concepts. Clinical experiences provide learners the opportunity to apply psychomotor skills, communication, legal and ethical responsibilities, and systematic problem-solving (nursing process) to provide safe, quality, patient-centered nursing care for adult patients.
