This degree is designed to prepare engineering students by building foundational engineering skills. This program is to prepare qualified students to transfer into four year engineering programs.

Pre-Engineering outcomes:

  1. Apply principles of engineering, science, and mathematics to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems.
  2. Apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.
  3. Make informed judgments based on ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations with consideration for the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal context.
  4. Function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives.
  5. Draw conclusions based on developing and conducting appropriate experimentation, analysis and interpretation of data and using engineering judgment.

NOTE: A grade of “C” or higher is required in all courses for transfer to some institutions.
