MGT 260 - Human Resource Management

This course examines statutory and common laws governing employment in the United States. Topics covered will include employee status, at-will employment, discrimination laws, job analysis and employee selection processes, performance management, employee appraisal and discipline, compensation and benefits, wage and hour laws, and workplace safety laws. Emphasis is placed on the study of the legal framework impacting human resources practices and policies.
