ST 105 - Surgical Technology I

This course delves into the essential healthcare sciences necessary for understanding and managing the care of surgical patients. The importance of professionalism as it relates in the surgical setting is emphasized.  Students gain the fundamentals of healthcare facility information for best practices.  An in-depth exploration will be provided on the biological aspects of patient care.  An overview of technological science concepts essential for modern healthcare applications is offered to deepen an understanding of critical technologies and the impact on patient care.  A detailed examination of intraoperative case management, focusing on critical aspects of the profession is covered.  This course aims to enhance the knowledge and skills necessary for effective and safe surgical practices for those pursuing careers in surgical technology.
