NURS 112 - Clinical Applications in Nursing Practice

3 Credit(s)
This is a 3-hour course focusing on clinical applications of pharmacology in nursing practice. Students will utilize the nursing process to understand the correlation of medication effects with patient outcomes. The course will discuss actions, interactions, adverse effects, and nursing implications of drug classifications. Topics include the responsibilities of the nurse and safe administration of medications within a legal/ethical framework.

Prerequisite(s): BIO 114  or BIO 220  , NURS 132  , NURS 133  , NURS 134  
Corequisite(s): NURS 142   and NURS 144  
Pre/Corequisite(s): BIO 115  or BIO 225
