CRJ 251 - Ethics in Criminal Justice

This course explores the ethical issues, dilemmas, and decision-making processes that arise within the criminal justice system. Students will examine ethical theories and principles as they apply to law enforcement, the courts, corrections, and related fields. Topics include the use of discretion, professional conduct, corruption, accountability, due process, human rights, and the balance between public safety and individual liberties.
