RETH 109 - Cardiopulmonary Diagnostics & Rehabilitation 4 Credit(s) This course studies the methods available for determining lung function and capacity, sleep and the stages of sleep. The topics include indications for testing in pulmonary and sleep labs, equipment standards for testing, interpretation and methods for obtaining accurate results within a pulmonary functions and sleep diagnostics lab setting. Students will study rehabilitative techniques & procedures for those patients who were found to have pulmonary disease with testing. These methods will be presented as components of a pulmonary rehab program. Patient education and therapies employed within a patients’ home is also covered within this course.
