RETH 105 - Basic Respiratory Therapeutics 4 Credit(s) Lecture and laboratory sessions are offered related to the administration of other medical gases; devices used for the delivery of gases; general respiratory therapy procedures, including principles of positive pressure use, Incentive spirometry,hyperinflation techniques, bronchopulmonary drainage, and drug aerosol therapy. Indications, hazards and contraindications will be included. The course also contains topics such as equipment processing, quality assurance, infection control and bronchoscopy. as well as assessing social determinates of health care will be discussed.
