This program is designed for those who expect to transfer to a college or university to study in biology. The curriculum gives students a broad background in liberal arts with a concentration in biology and physical sciences.
In addition to General Education Outcomes, upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to:
- Apply the scientific method in designing, conducting and analyzing experiments.
- Interpret and apply information from credible scientific sources.
- Explain basic principles of biology, including the core concepts of structure and function, genetics, reproduction, and evolution.
- Integrate and apply knowledge across scientific disciplines.
- Demonstrate basic lab skills in biology and the physical sciences.
