CIT 105 - Operating Systems

3 Credit(s)
This course is designed as an introduction to operating systems. It is intended for students with a basic background in computing systems. The first portion of the course presents the basic concepts of operating systems, which are platform dependent. The second portion of the course covers specific issues with operating systems in widespread use today. The course assumes the readers have some familiarity with computing systems. Second, it assumes they have a working knowledge of an operating system and how it interacts with computing systems. It is recommended that readers be familiar with at least one operating system.
