Placement Testing

WV Northern offers placement testing as one of multiple measures for placement in English and math courses. Newly-admitted students will work with an advisor to determine the most appropriate measure of placement. If a student opts into placement testing, the advisor will connect the student with our testing center to make the appropriate arrangements. The advisor can also help with alternate testing arrangements for students with documented physical or learning disabilities. Isolated testing, having a test read to the student or physical adaptations are examples of modified arrangements.
