COT 205 - Applied Chemistry for Chem Operator

This course presents some basic concepts of chemistry and applies them to chemical, plastics, and petroleum operations. Molecular structure, gas laws, acids and bases, red-ox reactions, and basic organic chemistry are all included in the course. A key component is chemistry as it relates to personal and environmental safety and health. Students learn the critical role that chemistry plays in all aspects of the production of chemicals, plastics and petroleum.

Prerequisite(s): MATH 113 with a minimum grade of a C.
