Course Description: This course introduces students to the fundamental principles and basic operations of internal combustion engines, with a specific focus on natural gas engines. The course emphasizes entry-level operational and mechanical functions, along with critical safety procedures.

Course Focus: This course provides students with the foundational knowledge and hands-on skills required for entry-level roles involving the operation and basic maintenance of industrial gas engines. Safety will be a paramount focus throughout the course, integrated into all operational and mechanical procedures. The curriculum will involve practical, hands-on exercises utilizing natural gas engine components and systems to solidify theoretical understanding. Field trips to operational engine sites may be included to provide students with real-world exposure to different engine types and applications
