HIT 230 - Medicolegal Aspects

A comprehensive study of health information and the law, this course provides students with knowledge regarding sources of law, civil procedures and trial practice, and security and disclosure of information. The court system is introduced followed by topics focusing on liability, confidentiality, disclosure (release of information) and various consents.

Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Health Information Technology program;
Corequisite(s): HIT 100 ,
